Therapeutic Rapport or fit
Therapeutic rapport is the trusting, collaborative relationship between a client and therapist, and it is a cornerstone of effective psychotherapy. When clients feel safe, respected, and understood, they are more likely to open up, engage in the process, and explore difficult thoughts and feelings. Strong rapport fosters trust, reduces anxiety about treatment, and enhances motivation for change. Research consistently shows that the quality of the therapeutic relationship is one of the strongest predictors of positive outcomes in therapy.
Dr. Turbes’ supportive and collaborative style creates a warm, welcoming environment where clients feel comfortable and understood, making it easier to talk about difficult topics. Dr. Turbes works alongside clients as partners in the therapeutic process, focusing on education about symptoms, developing practical coping skills, and exploring new perspectives. With empathy and encouragement, she aims to help guide clients toward greater self-awareness, resilience, and lasting strategies for managing life’s challenges.
